Post-Bloom Recovery Balm
For when the sun was a little too generous.
$54
Even the most diligent Sunseat practitioner encounters a session where the sun gives more than the body anticipated. Post-Bloom Recovery Balm is the after-care formulation Hagatha Cudgelflower developed following her first full summer of daily practice in Sedona in 2017 — a rich, cooling balm of organic aloe, cucumber hydrosol, and colloidal oat designed to calm, restore moisture, and support tissue recovery in the hours following an intense solar reception. It is the product she most often presses into visitors' hands.
The Balm is thick by design, formulated to remain on the surface of the skin rather than absorbing immediately, creating a protective occlusive barrier that holds moisture in while the receptive aperture and surrounding threshold tissue begin their natural recovery. Calendula and German chamomile address visible redness; panthenol accelerates surface renewal. The Balm is fragrance-free, certified by the Solstice Council, and appropriate for the body's most responsive tissues. It pairs naturally with the Cleft Anointing Oil as a bookend to the full ritual arc.
Post-Bloom Recovery Balm comes in a 3-oz glass jar with a flat lid for easy single-hand access after a session. It is stored in the refrigerator between uses and applied cool — the temperature contrast is, Hagatha notes, "a kindness the skin does not forget." The Solstice Council recommends it as the final step of every Sunseat session regardless of duration, and practitioners who use it consistently report that their threshold tissue grows more receptive to solar contact over the course of a season.
