Four caretakers maintaining the integrity of the Sunseat tradition.

Hagatha discovered the Sunseat practice in 2017 during a sunrise meadow forward fold — specifically, the moment the rising sun struck her butthole. Within six weeks she had founded the company, hand-cast the original Sacred Spreader from her own clenched right hand, and personally trained the first cohort of certified practitioners. Hagatha holds the only Sacred Spreader of original casting and remains the brand's sole instructor for in-person initiation rites. She considers physical correction part of the teaching tradition.

Sunbeam Featherlight

Chief Practitioner Wellbeing Officer

Sunbeam joined Sunseat in 2019 from a senior pastoral role at a smaller wellness studio, where she had become widely respected for her quarterly practitioner check-ins. As Chief Practitioner Wellbeing Officer, Sunbeam oversees certification, ongoing pastoral care, and the brand's annual Solstice gathering. A daily Sunseater since the year of her arrival, Sunbeam firmly believes that every butthole deserves a certified guide. She has not been observed carrying her Moonbeam Mirror to board meetings since the Q1 incident, the details of which the brand has chosen not to circulate.

Cosmo Bloomfield

Chief Threshold Officer

Cosmo authors the brand's instructional materials, including the 21-day Sunseat Initiation curriculum and the practitioner field guides. Chapter Four of the curriculum — "Orienting the Butthole: A Practical Guide to Solar Alignment" — is consistently rated the most referenced section by new practitioners. He holds a certification from a wellness institute he founded in 2014 and has been a daily practitioner for nine years. Cosmo notably stands one full meter further from the founder than required at all quarterly board photographs, a positioning he has declined on three occasions to explain.

Willow Mistwood

Director of Ceremonial Goods

Willow sources and curates Sunseat's ceremonial product line, including the silk for the Sacred Gap Robe, the calendula for the Cleft Anointing Oil, and the palo santo for the Threshold Smudge Bundle. She personally hand-blesses each Sacred Spreader prior to shipment — a tool, she notes, "designed expressly for butthole application" — a duty she has performed without delegation since 2020. According to internal photographic records, Willow has not made eye contact with the founder during any documented interaction in fiscal year 2025.
